Lucía Iglesias is one of the most promising young Spanish sopranos of her generation. She made her professional debut in 2019 as La Cenerentola in Rossini’s La Cenerentola on the Òpera a Catalunya circuit, launching a steadily rising career that has taken her to leading stages in Spain, Italy and Peru. Her 2026–27 season includes four Mozart roles and a Britten opera, bringing her to some of Spain’s foremost opera houses. Notable engagements include her debuts at the Teatro Real, the Gran Teatre del Liceu and Ópera de Tenerife.
Among her most acclaimed roles are Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Nannetta (Falstaff), Musetta (La Bohème) and Clorinda (La Cenerentola), performances for which she has been praised for her flexible, radiant voice, compelling stage presence and refined dramatic instinct. Prizewinner at prestigious competitions including the Veronica Dunne International Singing Competition, the Clara Schumann Competition, the Concorso Spazio Musica, Compostela Lírica, Germans Pla and the Mirna Lacambra Competition, Lucía Iglesias has received coaching and masterclasses from renowned artists such as Lisette Oropesa, Mariella Devia, Nadine Sierra and Deborah Polaski, while pursuing her principal training with Daniel Muñoz and Manuel Burgueras. She has also been a member of the Crescendo programme at the Teatro Real, representing the institution in a number of international engagements and further consolidating her versatility and artistic maturity.
