Elisa Urrestarazu completed her musical studies in her hometown, Málaga, before continuing her training at the Jacques Thibaud Regional Conservatoire in Bordeaux. Winner of national and international awards and distinctions, she maintains an intense career as a saxophonist, collaborating with leading orchestras and wind bands and giving concerts and masterclasses throughout Europe. Alongside her performing career, she develops interdisciplinary projects combining dance, electronics, literature and audiovisual media. Deeply committed to contemporary creation, she pursues ongoing research into sound and the expansion of the instrument’s repertoire, and is Artistic Director of the Nerja Contemporary Music Festival. Her discography includes the album Women Composers, los seres del mar, recorded with the pianist accompanying her in this concert, Cornelia Lenzin.

A native of Basel, Cornelia Lenzin has devoted her career to chamber music and vocal accompaniment, disciplines in which she has developed an extensive artistic activity. She also collaborates as a performer with various Swiss orchestras and regularly participates in chamber ensembles and Lied recitals. Winner of several international competitions, she received, among other distinctions, First Prize at the Concorso Internazionale di Musica in Città di Tortona. Since 2015, Lenzin has planned and performed concerts as part of the Basel Komponiert series, organised by the Kleines Klingental Museum in Basel and dedicated to the promotion of contemporary music.
