The Best Orchestras of the World

Ibermúsica continues to count on the best orchestras of the world in a challenging season, unlike any other, where we need to re-encounter the best live music with the best living musicians: Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra will come with their newly music director, Kirill Petrenko, as will the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, the Radio Sinfonie Orchetra Viena, and both the Munich Philharmonic and the Chec Philharmonic.

The Most Distinguished Batons

During this season we will be able to enjoy the expertise of some of the most outstanding conductors, male and female, of our time. Ibermúsica has engaged some of the world’s top conductors, such as Marin Alsop, Barbara Hannigan, Hannu Lintu, Kirill Petrenko, Paavo Järvi, Semyon Bychkov, Josep Vicent and Teodor Currentzis.

The Voice of the Cello

The 2020/2021 season rewards us with four exceptional chelists.

Yo-Yo Ma will offer a recital within our concert subscription series accompanied by the pianist Kathryn Stott, additionally Ma will offer a gala concert performing Bach’s Six Suites for violoncello. On another note, Kian Soltani will be accompanied by Radio Vienna Sinfonie Orchester; Itsván Vardai will be welcomed to the concert series accompanied by Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Gautier Capuçon will perform the Elgar concerto with the Chec Philharmonic.
